Most of the year, this is what a permanent lighting system actually does: one even, warm white, tracing your roofline from the moment it gets dark until you tell it to stop.

It is the least dramatic thing the system can do, and it is the reason most people buy one. A house with its lines picked out in warm light reads as finished after dark. The peaks and gables you paid for are still there at eight o’clock in January instead of disappearing into the black.

Pick the white that suits your home and leave it. A warmer, candle-toned white sits well against brick, stone and stained wood. A cooler, crisper white suits white trim, black windows and newer builds. We will show you both on your own fascia during the design visit, because they look different on every house and the sample board never quite tells the truth.

Then forget about it. Colour is there for the nights you want it.
